Dr. Esan is a Hematopathologist and Associate Professor of Pathology at Allegheny Health Networks, Pitsburgh, PA . She was formally at the West Virginia University Hospital (WVUH), Morgantown, WV and is involved in various teaching and research activities. She provides services in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, cytopathology and hematopathology. Additionally she serves on various tumor boards.
Prior to joining WVUH, Dr. Esan was a Consultant Hematologist at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) before relocating to the USA in 2005. She earned her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Ibadan (1991) and trained in Hematology & Blood transfusion at LUTH (FMCPath 2000).
Dr. Esan appreciates the privileges she enjoys due to her prior medical experience in Nigeria, and understands the challenges faced by pathologists in West Africa. She look forward to future collaborations especially in the area of lymphoma pathology.
